Data Entry & Billing Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a highly accurate and detail-oriented Data Entry & Billing Assistant to support a busy team with entering, reviewing and organizing billing information.

This role requires someone who is smart, reliable, numerically confident and able to follow instructions carefully. Accuracy is extremely important, as even small errors in data entry can have a significant impact on the information being reviewed.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with numbers and reading information from bills, including usage, rates, charges, totals and kilowatts/kWh.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately enter data from bills and documents into Google Sheets.
Capture and organize numerical and billing information.
Review entered information for accuracy and completeness.
Check figures, totals and billing details carefully.
Identify discrepancies, missing information or figures that do not appear correct.
Work with information relating to electricity usage, including kilowatts/kWh.
Organize documents and information using Google Drive.
Follow established procedures and instructions precisely.
Double-check work before submitting it.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Ask questions when information is unclear rather than making assumptions.
Complete assigned data-entry tasks within required deadlines.

Requirements

Previous data entry, administration, billing or clerical experience.
Excellent attention to detail.
Very high level of accuracy.
Comfortable working with numbers and figures.
Able to understand basic information shown on bills and invoices.
Good understanding of percentages, totals, rates and calculations.
Comfortable working with electricity usage figures such as kilowatts/kWh.
Strong Google Sheets and Google Drive skills.
Must have a Gmail/Google account.
Strong computer literacy.
Excellent written English.
Able to follow instructions accurately.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Able to work independently.
Strong common sense and problem-solving ability.

Technical Requirements

Own reliable computer/laptop.
