Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Property Management Bookkeeper (AppFolio) to support the financial and administrative operations of our property management team. This role is responsible for managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), performing bank reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing financial reports. The position also involves updating tenant accounts and lease information in AppFolio, processing tenant payments and invoices, and coordinating with property managers and vendors regarding billing and payments. The ideal candidate will have bookkeeping experience, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in AppFolio and Microsoft Office, and the ability to provide excellent customer service when assisting tenants by phone. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
Prepare and maintain financial reports and supporting documentation.
Conduct accurate data entry and maintain organized financial records.
Answer and handle tenant calls, providing timely assistance and support.
Update tenant accounts, payments, and lease records in AppFolio.
Process and track tenant payments, invoices, and balances.
Coordinate with property managers and vendors on billing and payments.
Perform other tasks related to the position.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
Strong interpersonal and phone communication skills with excellent customer service approach.
Experience utilizing AppFolio for property management operations.
Bookkeeping knowledge and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial balances.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Out-of-the-box thinker with a reliable, self-motivated, and confident approach, demonstrating a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly.
Sound judgment and the capacity to comprehend and execute instructions promptly with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in alignment with U.S. Eastern Time (New York time) business hours.
