Proven experience within domestic freight brokerage, transportation sales, logistics sales, or freight business development.
Experience working with domestic 3PL providers, freight brokerages, transportation intermediaries, and/or asset-based carriers.
Strong understanding of freight lanes, market pricing, transportation capacity, and carrier sourcing.
Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop, and secure new freight business.
Experience negotiating transportation rates and freight solutions.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently in a commission-based environment.
Hunter mentality with a proven ability to generate opportunities through outbound business development.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple customer opportunities simultaneously.
